When done well, social media can help brands to make a profound return on their investment through emotion-led campaigns that drive site traffic and boost affinity.

An example of this is through our work with Myprotein who tasked Social Chain with amplifying the #mygymreason hashtag to trend in the UK.

We took on the challenge by initiating a series of competitions and incentives through our 400+ communities to increase @myproteinUK’s Twitter following.

To do this, we launched a considered Facebook and Twitter target and retarget campaign which combined paid ads, as well as influencer-led content to engage communities on Instagram.

The results saw the hashtag trend across the UK, thanks to a reach of 26,643,741 people, leading to 31,007 clicks and a 3507 increase in @myproteinUK Twitter followers.
