Hannah Baker appointed as chief marketing officer

We’re thrilled to share the appointment of former Wavemaker Head of Marketing Hannah Baker as Chief Marketing Officer.

Baker will sit on the company’s leadership team, reporting to Executive Chairman Oliver Green and will be responsible for building Brave Bison’s reputation as a new-age media, technology and marketing partner uniquely positioned to connect with digital natives, as well as driving growth across its four business units: Brave Bison Performance, Brave Bison Commerce, Brave Bison Media Network and Social Chain, which the company acquired in February of this year.

Baker has extensive experience leading marketing and new business at a broad range of network and independent agencies including the former Engine group, both in London and New York, tms (formerly The Marketing Store) across Europe and Asia, and most recently WPP’s Wavemaker where she was responsible for triple digit increases in press coverage, created the industry’s first media summit for scale-ups and launched the agency’s recent and highly successful ‘Media Essentials Certificate’ for brands.

As the ambitious and rapidly-growing company continues to acquire and integrate new businesses and expand its global footprint, Baker will be tasked with identifying and unlocking new opportunities for growth, building the profile of the company’s talent and specialists, helping to define and cultivate company culture, and curating impactful marketing campaigns that set Brave Bison apart—all while bringing together a team of talented marketers and growth directors, including current Head of Marketing Rosie Bocking, to supercharge the business’s already significant growth.

Oliver Green, Executive Chairman said: “Hannah’s extensive marketing experience, infectious energy and obvious versatility make her the perfect person to drive our brand and business forward as we look to capitalise on the significant and exciting new business momentum we have seen in recent months.

I’ve no doubt Hannah is going to help Brave Bison reach even greater heights as we strive to build a truly digital-native marketing company for the modern age.”

Hannah Baker added: “I’m thrilled to be joining such an ambitious and talented team at this pivotal stage in Brave Bison’s growth. With its unique combination of social-first creators, performance marketing experts, software engineers, creative technologists and proprietary technology platforms, Brave Bison offers something genuinely game-changing for brands looking to connect with digital native consumers at scale—this combined with its phenomenal momentum and the ability to innovate at a pace that legacy players can only dream of is seriously exciting. I can’t wait to get started.”
